Skincare Review | K Beauty Favourites #4

Time for the fourth instalment of my K Beauty favourites and this one is Celimax and haruharu wonder heavy! Remember, you can get up to 5% more off at YesStyle with my code DANIELLESBB5!

k beauty favourites 4

Celimax The Real Noni Acne Bubble Cleanser*

Starting with cleansers and this is such a refreshing foaming cleanser! It slots in easily as a morning or second cleanser and while I am not experiencing acne right now, it’s my go to when I can feel a spot coming on! It contains glycerin, Noni extract (rich in antioxidants), salicylic acid, willow bark extract and centella asiatica so gently removes dead skin cells and soothes skin and it has a fresh, herbal mint scent. Despite being a foaming cleanser, this doesn’t strip my skin at all and it feels soft and balanced after use! Features in my Current Cleansers post here!

Celimax JI WOO GAE Heartleaf BHA PeelingPad*

I am loving having these to hand at the minute! They are pre-soaked toning pads with different textures on each side and formulated with BHA to slough away dead skin cells and reveal brighter and smoother skin. The formula also contains hyaluronic acid and heartleaf extract to soothe and hydrate skin. I gently wipe the embossed side over my face to remove impurities and moisturize skin, wait 30 seconds then wipe the gauze side to exfoliate and target blackheads and dead skin cells. I like to use then when my skin is feeling dull or like I have a breakout coming on, they feel gentle and the tub has 60 pads in total!

Celimax Noni Ampoule Calming + Radiance*

This is such a nice calming and hydrating serum – everyone should have this or something like it in their routine! It contains noni fruit extract which is full of antioxidants, glycerin to hydrate, allantoin to soothe and adenosine to help reduce the appearance of fine lines. My skin always looks and feels calm and hydrate when I use this and it’s my go to lately anytime I’m on a trip as it’s so good day or night!

Celimax The Vita-A Retinal Shot Tightening Booster*

Small but mighty as this is only 15 mls but you don’t need a lot either! This is a 0.1% retinal formula with niacinamide, panthenol and Matrixyl 3000 to further brighten, soothe and target fine lines! The “shot” refers to Celimax’s own microparticle ingredient A-Shot™ which stimulates skin and enhances absorption of the actives! My skin looks noticeably firmer, more plump and smoother with consistent use, and I haven’t experienced any sensitivity or peeling with their either even though it’s one of the stronger formulations I have tried! Wish it came in a 30ml but its super affordable for a retinal product at $17.52 CAD on Yesstyle!

Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Probiotics Barrier Essence*

This is such a classic “glass skin” product which is what K Beauty is known for! It’s a milky essence that I like to use after toning and before serums to add an extra layer of hydration. It’s 5 Ceramide Complex and 5 Fatty Acids Complex boosts skin barrier strength and the lightweight formula also includes galactomyces ferment filtrate to boost skin elasticity, as well as antioxidant-rich black rice extract to soothe and strengthen skin. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling sticky or greasy and I love having this in the winter when my skin needs a little extra hydration!

Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Moisture Airyfit Sunscreen*

This became one of my favourite SPF’s this summer and I love the pump packaging it comes in! It’s a lightweight, non-greasy formula that doesn’t leave a white cast and I think it would work for all skin types! I use 2 finger lengths worth, and it sits so well under my makeup, there is no pilling and my skin feels well protected! It contains 100% Korean black rice, rich in antioxidants, vitamin E for free-radical protection and skin moisturising Ceramide NP & Heartleaf Extract. Featured in my Summer Essentials 2025 here!

Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Bakuchiol Eye Cream*

Lastly, an eye cream I have been loving! This contains Bakuchiol and fermented Black Rice extract to gently smooth fine lines around the eyes. It’s nicely hydrating and has reduced the look of fine lines round my eyes. I haven’t noticed a huge difference with dark circles but not much works on that for me! This feels so gentle around the thinner skin on the eyes too and works well under makeup keeping my eye are looking smooth!

That’s the end of my fourth instalment of this series but if you want to read about more K Beauty products I recommend, the previous three posts are linked below! Naturium Black Friday Sale Guide | Best Products Worth the Hype

naturium-black-friday-sale-best-products

With Black Friday happening, I thought I would do a roundup of one of my favourite sales of the year and talk through some of my top picks from Naturium! The last couple of years I have done a big Naturium order in November for Black Friday and stocked myself up for the year ahead with some key bodycare and skincare products! I just love the sizes and how well the products work for me and it’s a good time to splurge right now as they have 25% off with the code CYBER2025 and have free gifts when you spend $60+ USD and $100+ USD!

What I hadn't counted on, was that shipping to Canada would be paused (I assume due to the ongoing rotating Canada Post strike) so looks like I will be saving myself some money this year :( It's worth checking Space NK in the UK and Shoppers Drugmart in Canada over Black Friday too as I'm sure Naturium will go on sale there aswell! Their products really are some of my favourite body care to use so let's get onto the review!

naturium bodycare skincare review

The Glow Getter Multi-Oil Hydrating Body Wash RRP $17 USD

This is one of Naturium’s cult products and I remember when it first came out and everyone wanted to get their hands on it! I’ve been through quite a few bottles of it now and it’s a super hydrating body wash that changes from an oil consistency to a gentle, milky lather. I love this for my skin in the winter as it’s so nourishing and doesn’t strip my skin. It’s formulated with 50% glycerin, a blend of linoleic-rich oils and plant-derived squalane, and is rich in humectants that hydrate and nourish skin. It doesn’t leave a residue, leaves my skin feeling clean, soft and hydrated and lasts ages too!

naturium-glycolic-bio-lipid-body-lotion-review

Bio-Lipid Restoring Body Lotion RRP $15 USD

This is a really robust body lotion and I love having it in my collection! It works to replenish moisture, leaving skin feeling soft and supple and is formulated with omega fatty acids, shea butter, B vitamins and sodium PCA. It hydrates my skin and absorbs quickly with no greasy residue left behind. I particularly love it in the winter as it feels a little thicker than some other lotions I’ve tried.

Skin-Renewing Retinol Body Lotion – Jumbo size RRP $44 USD

Probably one of my favourite products (along with the glycolic body lotion!) and I love that this comes in a jumbo size! It is formulated with an encapsulated stabilized pure retinol complex and allantoin and leaves skin feeling soft, supple, and nourished while also minimizing the look of redness and irritation. It has been developed for all skin types and I find it gentle enough for everyday use but it really does improve the look of my skin and smooths textured areas like KP on the backs of my arms as well as keeping it hydrated! Like the Bio-Lipid lotion, its creamy and absorbs quickly! Obviously, if you are using in the summer, make sure you apply SPF!

naturium-kp-glycolic-scrub-body-lotion-review

The Smoother Glycolic Acid Body Lotion RRP $17 USD

Like I said, one of my favourite Naturium products! This one contains 10% glycolic acid, working to smooth texture and brighten tone and decrease the appearance of dark spots. It’s also got shea butter to help boost skin's moisture. All three body lotions I have tried have similar consistencies so again this one is creamy and hydrating and helps with exfoliation and smooths my skin, working overtime the KP on the backs of my arms this summer, so it was non-existent! My skin tone looks more even and brighter when I use it and I need to get a new one ASAP!

KP Body Scrub & Mask RRP $18 USD

The body lotion goes very well together with the KP scrub and mask! This is a body exfoliant containing pumice and jojoba esters, plus AHA/BHA/PHA chemical exfoliants. It feels very “scrubby” and grips easily to the skin if you want to keep it on longer as a mask and works to smooth any rough or dry skin on my body. It exfoliates well both physically and chemically and leaves my skin feeling super soft and looking brighter!

The Smoother Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Body Wash RRP $17 USD

The bodywash form the glycolic range is also a good one! It exfoliates and resurfaces rough and uneven, bumpy skin texture and the formula contains a blend of AHA’s including glycolic, lactic, pyruvic and tartaric acids. It works well to slough off dead skin cells and reveal softer, smoother and more supple looking skin. I didn’t realise, but this can also be used as a facial cleanser! It’s also gentle enough for daily use and is a creamy formula!

All of the bodycare is unfragranced which has its positives and negatives (I do love fragrance!) but I appreciate its simplicity and the sizes and prices are so good! Moving onto skincare now and I haven’t tried quite as much as I would have liked to but I do love what I have tried of it too!

naturium-multi-peptide-review

Multi-Peptide Moisturizer RRP $20 USD

This is such a great daily moisturiser and contains a multi-peptide blend, encapsulated ethylated vitamin C and panthenol to target the look of fine lines and wrinkles. It feels lightweight and I tended to use in the AM more so than at night as it worked so well under my makeup! It absorbed quickly and hydrated my skin well, smoothing texture and leaving it feeling supported!

Multi-Peptide Eye Cream RRP $16 USD

The sister to the face moisturiser and another simple but well formulated, lightweight product! Again, this helps to hydrate and smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and contains peptides, including Argireline, known as “botox in a bottle”. It sat so well under my makeup and kept my under eyes hydrated and fine lines at bay!

Phyto-Glow Lip Balm Petal RRP $10 USD

Lastly, one of my favourite lip products I think I have ever tried! The shade pictured is Peach as I wanted to try a new shade but Petal is definitely my favourite! It’s a super nourishing, glossy balm containing shea butter, cupuaçu butter and plant squalane to moisturize and cushion lips. My lips are so hydrated when I use this and I don’t need to constantly top up as it lasts so long on my lips – it’s perfect all year round but especially for the Canadian winter! They are left feeling soft and smooth and I love the glossy finish and sheer hint of colour. I had some major issues with the first one I bought which burst at the end but customer service were great and I duct taped it and used it up anyway! It has a non-offensive vanilla scent and is the perfect amount of stickiness for me. Thankfully I didn’t have the same issue which my second balm so it seems like the packaging issues have been sorted!

naturium-black-friday-haul-review

I also have a few products in my stash that I haven’t got round to trying yet including the Energizer Mandelic Acid Body Wash, Retinaldehyde Cream Serum 0.10% and Vitamin C Complex Cleanser and I have high hopes for them too! Similarly I have also tried The Brightener Vitamin C Brightening Body Wash (lightweight, hydrating and evened my skin tone!), The Soother Sensitive Skin Body Wash (simple and gentle body wash but discontinued) and the Skin Soothing Recovery Lotion (smelt awful but worked well though now also discontinued!).

As I mentioned, Naturium are one of my favourite brands expecially for bodycare and have featured on my blog before in the following blog posts if you want to read more!

Skincare | CurrentBody Skin LED Red Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2 Review and discount code!

currentbody skin LED red light therapy face mask series 2 review

Considering Black Friday is coming up soon, I thought it was about time I gave my two cents on the CurrentBody Skin LED Red Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2! Use my discount code DANIELLEBB for 10% off at CurrentBody all year round! RRP £399.99 | $639.99 CAD | $469.99 USD

The reason I mention Black Friday, is because that’s when I bought my mask last year as they had 20% off with the discount code! I had gone back and forth over getting one of these masks since 2021 but could never quite justify the price (and it was the older Series 1 version at that time). But last November, as another birthday rolled around, I felt the urge to treat myself when I saw the Series 2 mask released and the discount go to 20% on Black Friday. Last year it was £399 and I got mine for £319.20 with the 20% off!

current body led mask review

currentbody series 2 led light face mask review

The Technical Bit (from the website)

The Series 2 mask contains 236 LEDs which emit the 3 most clinically recognised wavelengths for anti-ageing, penetrating up to 10mm into the skin:

-Red light (633nm): Boosts collagen production, reducing fine lines and wrinkles

-Near-infrared (830nm): Energises cells to firm, tighten and brighten skin

-Deep near-infrared (1072nm): Targets areas where signs of ageing are more pronounced, boosting collagen production deep under the skin.

What it Claims

Results can be seen in as little as 4 weeks when used regularly for 10 minutes a day, 3 to 5 times a week. See less lines and wrinkles and firmer, brighter and smoother skin. The LED face mask has been designed for all skin types, even the most sensitive.

What I’ve Noticed

I’ve been using this for just under a year now and overall, with consistent use, my skin is more even, calmer and much less inflamed. Darker pigmentation spots take less time to fade, active spots aren’t active for as long, my skin looks and feels smoother and firmer and fine lines aren’t pronounced or getting deeper. My complexion is brighter and clearer and just better than when I wasn’t using it! It boosts collagen production too under the skin and I feel my skin is plumper.

I love how it covers my jawline aswell (one of the upgrades from Series 1) as I get congestion and spots here and I feel this really helps keep them under control. Obviously, I have a good skincare routine as well so can’t attribute all this to just the mask, but it really has elevated my skincare routine no end! It is recommended to use the LED mask 3 to 5 times a week but I use it probably closer to 6-7 nights a week as it’s so easy to incorporate into my routine – use straight after cleansing and before serums etc.

I took 2 weeks off using it this summer as I was travelling and knew I wouldn’t have time to use it and felt my skin really just lacked a little somethin’ somethin’! I couldn’t wait to get it back on when I got home and just get the overall radiance back to my skin. In saying that, the mask is also easy to travel with, its pliable and comes with a protective bag!

currentbody LED Red Light Therapy Face Mask Series 2

The mask itself fits very well and the multiway strap is comfortable – you can clip the control onto your clothes if you want to use it on the go but I prefer to take 10 minutes to lie down and I’ll usually do Wordle and Connections (lol). It has optional eye inserts which I do use, and I don’t have any sensitivity to the red light with my eyes. To clean you just need to wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry. The charge usually lasts me around 10 uses (there is only one button on the control and you need to hold it in for a few seconds to turn it on) and a full charge takes a couple of hours! It will flash orange when it’s time to charge and has a steady blue colour blue when it’s got charge. The device is 100% painless and the LEDs don’t generate any heat.

In case you can’t tell, I love the CurrentBody Skin LED Red Light Therapy Face Mask: Series 2 | RRP £399.99 | $639.99 CAD | $469.99 USD and think it is an investment but well worth the money! It has become a nightly ritual for me, and my skin is reaping the benefits! I’ve been strict with my consistency, and it’s paid off with a calmer and less inflamed complexion, a more even and brighter skin tone and my fine lines are subtle and less pronounced. My code DANIELLEBB gives a 10% discount year round and for a few weeks round Black Friday they do 20% off!

Have you tried this LED mask or any others before? I just saw CurrentBody released an LED Light Therapy panel recently and they also have other targeted devices like the LED neck and decolletage mask, LED eye mask and the LED hair growth helmet that I would love to try in the future! My discount DANIELLEBB works on those too!

Current Skincare | Toners #6

It’s been a couple of years since my last toner roundup and I’m either finished or very nearly finished all of these so here are some quick reviews before I open some more!

Isntree Yam Root Vegan Milk Toner RRP $31 CAD*

This is a lightweight, hydrating and refreshing toner which is exactly what K Beauty is known for so no surprise there! It contains yam root extract to replenish skin moisture and keep skin supple along with vegan milk complex (derived from oat, rice, coconut and other plant-based ingredients) and lipid water to strengthen the skin barrier. It feels gentle, has a milky consistency and helped hydrate and calm my skin! Read my review here! Use my Yesstyle code DANIELLESBB5 for $$ off!

Glow Recipe Cloudberry Bright Essence Toner RRP $52 CAD via IPSY*

I was pleasantly surprised by this formula having found everything I’ve tried from Glow Recipe a bit blah until this which I loved! It’s cooling, brightening and hydrating and it didn’t smell overpowering like their watermelon line. It contains Cloudberry which is packed with Vitamins C and E and Coenzyme Q10 which is antioxidant and strengthens skin. The bottle is only 75mls so I went through it quite quickly and it was hard to get the last quarter out as it’s a jelly-like consistency and comes in pump packaging but I would repurchase as it made my skin feel so good! Read my IPSY review here!

Pixi Skintreats Clarity Toner RRP £10*

Another underrated gem from Pixi! This is formulated with glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids, to promote smoother, clearer skin without drying it out! It also contains aloe and probiotics to soothe and balance skin. It used this anytime my skin felt like it was breaking out and it helped so much with congestion! It’s alcohol free so didn’t dry my skin out but worked well to exfoliate and keep spots under control!

Farmacy Honey Milk Hydrating Essence RRP $52 CAD*

I was spoilt earlier this year when Farmacy sent me their three toners! This one is a toner/essence hybrid with chamomile to calm and soothe, ceramides to replenish the skins moisture barrier, smooth fine lines and boost elasticity as well as honey to heal and nurture dry skin. I have loved using this – it’s hydrating, and softens and soothes my skin leaving it ready for my next skincare steps!

Farmacy Brighten Up 3% TXA Dark Spot Toner RRP $52 CAD*

This one might be my favourite of the Farmacy trio! It claims to reduce the look of dark spots in just 7 days and I would have to agree! It contains 3% tranexamic acid to work on aforementioned dark spots and to brighten as well as 5% PHA and azelaic acid to even skin tone and gently exfoliate. This has worked so well to brighten my skin and help lighten some stubborn dark spots I get after breakouts! It’s gentle and I love using it in both my AM and PM routines!

Farmacy Deep Sweep 2% BHA Pore Cleaning Toner RRP $52 CAD*

Lastly, another hit for Farmacy! This one contains 2% BHA to exfoliate and help clean pores, draw out excess oil and refine skin texture. Moringa refreshes skin and papaya enzymes gently exfoliate and clarify skin! This works so quickly for me to calm my skin down when I am experiencing breakouts and really helps refine problem areas and balance my skin!

I can’t recommend any of these toners enough! I have loved them all! The Farmacy are really up there though – I received them in January and they will all be finished by the end of the month so they lasted me a good 9 months with rotational daily use! I have a few toners in my stash to use up but I would repurchase all of the toners here tomorrow if I had a gap in my toner stash!

See my last toners post here and let me know what toners you have been using!
