I haven’t done a wishlist post in absolutely ages! I thought with my move happening on Wednesday it would give me a little time to put together this list of what I want to pick up when I finally get to Canada and Sephora in particular. I know I could have ordered a lot of this stuff (and a lot of its available to me here though the likes of Cult Beauty) but it’s not the same as getting a look at it in store and I’ve also been on my version of a spending ban for the past five months which although wasn’t a complete success was still pretty good by my standards! Anyway, I’m looking forward to a (massive) splurge when I get over and here are the main products on my list!

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid, AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution and Coverage Foundation

I have the longest Ordinary list and I’m sure that as soon as I make an order it won’t just be these three products on it! I’ll most likely also need to pick up Alpha Arbutin and Niacinamide again as I’m almost finished both my bottles and I love the stuff! They come in glass bottles so will add a little too much weight to my luggage so I’ll leave these with my mum!

CosRX AHA/BHA Treatment Toner

Another product that has actually been sitting in my Cult Beauty wishlist for the longest time but again I didn’t want to buy too much skincare when I knew I would be going away. I’ve heard so many good things about this product in particular but let me know if there are any other CosRX products you think I should pick up!

Youth to the People Cleasner and Cream Youth Duo

Again, this is a brand I’ve wanted to try for a while along with Farmacy Skin Saviour Kit and I do love a mini so I think these will be great ways to try the brands before committing to a full size!

Anastasia Blush Trio in Pink Passion

It was so hard to pick just one trio out because I love the look of about three of them but though I love a coral blush, I think pinks suit me better and these look so cute! Again, not on the Sephora website – does anyone know if they will be going into Sephora soon? I think I’d like to see them in person!

Bite Beauty The Perfect Pair Amuse Bouche lipstick set Meringue/Fig

I’ve wanted to try Bite Beauty for so long and these mini lipsticks look like the perfect introduction to the brand as well as my type of shades!

OUAI Morning After Kit

I absolutely love the OUAI and have been putting off buying their dry shampoo foam because I knew I’d just be adding more weight to my suitcase. I love that it’s got a mini of the dry shampoo foam as well as the new rose hair and body oil and I already know I love the finishing cream! The OUAI scent it to die for too!

Sephora Favourite Sets

I’m hoping a few of these are still in stock when I get to Sephora as they are such good value! I really want the Sunkissed Glow set as it’s got a mini Becca highlighter and Hourglass bronzer, the Give Me Some Nude Lip kit because look at it and I want to try the NARS Velvet Lip Glide and the Safe Sun on the Fly set as I want to try Coola and Fresh! And also because I can’t resist a mini or a good value deal! Hopefully they’re still in stock but if not I’m sure Sephora will come out with something equally as good!

  

I would also kill to sign up to the Sephora Play Box but it’s not available in Canada L Anyway, I could probably go on but that will do me for now! Please leave me all the recommendations below for Sephora or any Canadian brands, I love reading them and adding more to my wishlist! I won’t get to a Sephora straight away but you can bet there will be a wishlist purchases post coming!

Also, sorry if I’m not as active with commenting etc. but I will try to keep up! I have loads of photos taken for posts and have some scheduled too and hope to keep up my blog while I’m away! If you want something else to read in the meantime all my wishlist and wishlist purchases posts are here!

Wishlist Purchases #4 ft. Kat Von D

When Debenhams announced they were going to be stocking Kat Von D, I for one was very excited! Having lusted over both the Shade + Light contour and eye palettes for years but unwilling to pay shipping/customs from America, I allowed myself a splurge when they were finally released online in September! I’ve been using both for the last few weeks now and to cut a long story short, I’m obsessed!

Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette (£36)

First up, the cult favourite Shade + Light contour palette! I have a love/hate relationship with contour and over the summer have been missing the step in favour of bronzing. With the introduction of this palette into my collection I have been enjoying introducing it back into my routine! Sombre (bottom left) is the most gorgeous cool toned contour shade and I have been using it every day since I got the palette. All the powders do kick up quite a bit of dust when I dip my brush in but are so easily blended they never look harsh on the skin. I've been using the top middle banana shade (Lyric) quite a bit too and it’s great for setting under the eyes. I’ve also been using Lucid (top left) to set down the centre of my face after using my usual mattifying powder and it’s nicely brightening too.

I have been using those three shades the most so definitely need to look at ways to use the other contour powders – Shadowplay (bottom centre) is a little warm for me and Subconcious (bottom right) is a little too dark for me at the minute! Levitation (top right) is a lovely peach powder but again I haven’t used it much. Overall, all six shades have the most beautiful smooth formulation and like I mentioned, though they do kick up some powder, they blend so easily and are really high quality!

Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette (£36)

Next up, the Shade + Light Eye Contour palette! This is a twelve pan palette made up of three quads with neutral, cool and warm toned shades. Neutral matte eyeshadow lover that I am, I knew I had to get my hands on this and like the contour palette, it has not disappointed me! As a fan of cool toned neutrals in particular, it’s been the middle section that I have been drawn to most but I’ve now used all the shadows included and they are among some of the best matte formulation that I’ve tried! There isn’t a dud shade in there and although they are split into quads, they are obviously easily mixed and matched. My favourite combination at the minute is Lucius in my inner corner, Lazarus over most of my lid with Saleos in my crease and Shax as a liner!

Like the contour palette, the eyeshadows are quite powdery but again they blend so easily and the pigmentation is amazing! I use an eyeshadow primer and I've only noticed very minimal fading on my oily lids from a full days wear but they look basically the same in the evening as when I've just applied them in the morning!

So there we have it, a rave review after lasts weeks’ mixed bag of products! I’m so impressed with the quality of both these palettes and I definitely want to try more from Kat Von D’s line now! I was really happy with the pricing of the products too, I had expected the palette to be more £38 or above in line with Urban Decay so £36 was surprisingly under that. The cardboard packaging feels sturdy and I’d definitely recommend getting these if you don’t already have them and are a fan of contouring or neutral matte eyeshadows, these are most certainly worth the hype!

Wishlist Purchases #3 ft. Urban Decay, NARS, Huda Beauty, Pixi and Beauty Blender

Is it really bad that this is the first of three wishlist purchase posts I have coming up in the next few weeks? I have definitely been feeling a bit spendy over the last few weeks in particular but as you will see, all the products have been in my wishlist for quite a while and what can I say, I like to treat myself! 

There are two bases here so I’ll give you a little context about my skin for reference first – it’s scarred from acne when I was younger and I still get a few hormonal breakouts, it’s extremely oily around my nose, forehead and chin but also dehydrated and my nose eats foundation for a living! I always look for full coverage, oil free foundation and to be honest I’m not sure why I still try bother buying new ones to try because nothing ever matches up to my beloved Estee Lauder Double Wear!

NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint
I bought this back before the summer as part of the Modern Minimalist box Space NK do and I managed to snag it with £15 off when they had an offer on. I definitely got swept up a little in the hype with this one and after reading a lot of positive reviews and being impressed with how the coverage looked in YouTube videos I took the plunge. I was really happy with the contents of the box as I had also wanted to try out the Orgasm blush and Rikugien lip pencil for ages too. 

I do have to say that for a tint this really does have impressive coverage. It’s a creamy liquid that blends in well on my skin (I like using a Beauty Blender with it) and it has SPF 30 so I loved having it on holiday with me in the summer when I was going out during the day and wanted some coverage and extra sun protection. In terms of lasting power, it’s not the best base I've ever had and I tend to need to powder it around lunchtime and by about 3 it starts to look patchy round my nose (nothing new there) and steadily wears off after that. It has quite a strong sort of SPF scent when you first apply it but I don’t mind it and the shade Finland is a good match for me. Overall, while I won’t be buying this again I can see myself finishing the tube and am looking forward to taking it on a mini sun break in November but it’s definitely one for short days when I don’t need my base to last all day.
 
Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation
Urban Decay is probably my favourite make up brand and being a huge fan of their eye shadows and lipsticks I was really excited to see they were adding a full coverage foundation to their lineup! Well not anymore haha, this has been the biggest makeup disappointment for me this year and I absolutely hate it! I got matched to shade 2.0 and while yes it does oxidise slightly it doesn’t go orange and the shade works well for me. The formula however is a different story! I have no idea what I’m doing wrong with this foundation – I’ve tried different primers, different application methods and it still looks like shite on my skin! 

It’s such a weird one for me because I wanted to love this foundation; it claims to be everything I look for when I try a new base – long lasting, oil free, matte, I could go on. I don’t find the pigmentation that impressive, it goes patchy and separates so quickly on my skin, and not just on my nose, we’re talking all over my face here. I will say that the matte claim is true, as awful as my skin looks with it on at least it’s not shining like a beacon like with other foundations I've tried but that and the pretty packaging are really the only positive things I can say about this. Do let me know if you have found a way to make it work, I thought I’d made it work better by using more silicone based primers but it’s still wearing off too easily! I made an account on Depop a few weeks ago (I’m @daniellebeautyblog on there) and this will definitely be going up once I’ve sorted out packaging etc.! Think I’ll just stick to the eye shadows and lipsticks from UD from now on!

Beauty Blender Liner.Designer
This is a totally unnecessary product but one I was intrigued by after seeing it on Cult Beauty! I have hooded eyes so eyeliner is always a problem for me and while I have used the tape trick in the past, I prefer doing my eyes after my base so it always took some makeup off or didn’t stick properly because I took too much tackiness off! To be honest I've only played about with this and tried it before taking my makeup off but it does what it says on the box and gives you three edges to use as a guide when doing your eyeliner. It’s really thin silicone and comes in a handy little plastic box to keep it safe, will be helpful next time I attempt liner but definitely not an essential item for most!  

Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue palette in Light/Medium
I already have a post on this here but in short it’s a really handy little palette that includes five eye shadows and two blushes. The palette itself comes in four shades and I have light/medium which has a nice mix of bronze/brown eye shades and a bright and more muted blush. The blushers last well on my skin and are very pigmented but I would say the eye shadows wear off quicker and do tend to fade a little on me but I love the shades included in this palette and do reach for it often!

Huda Beauty Lip Contour in Bombshell
I was on a bit of a lip liner kick recently after getting on so well with Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk that when I heard how amazing these supposedly were I thought I would try one for myself! It is so pigmented, easy to apply and doesn’t drag the lips at all but I would say that the shade I picked for myself looks a little off on me. It’s quite red/orange toned on me and I was hoping for something a little more muted and pinker (basically another Pillowtalk lol). It really is a beautiful formulation though and I’m sure once I find a lipstick I like for over the top of it I’ll love it as much as Pillowtalk!

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Backtalk
Every time I was at an Urban Decay counter having a swatch of the new lipsticks, Backtalk would be the one I picked out first so when Feel Unique did one of their 10% off deals I took the opportunity to pick it up! Backtalk is in the cream formula and it is beautiful! The shade is a gorgeous mauvey pink and the formula is of course creamy and very comfortable to wear as well as being quite long lasting. As a serial lip balm applier, I don’t feel the need to put anything over the top of this for a good four hours which is usually unheard of for me! I also picked up a sheer shade in Wrong Number and can see myself getting a few more of these at some stage!

Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser
I have been wanting to get my hands on this for absolutely ages but it was always out of stock! I was excited to finally get my hands on it and see what all the hype was about a few weeks ago when I got it on Cult Beauty! It’s a huge bottle and you only need a tiny amount of product, I usually use it as a second cleanse at night so will wet my face then massage it into my skin for 30 seconds avoiding the eye area. My skin instantly feels cleaner and smoother, looks clearer and it’s so gentle, I’m loving it already!

Congratulations if you made it through that and apologies in advance for what will probably be haul spam over the next few weeks but I did buy the Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour and Eye Contour palettes and the Naked Ultimate Basics Palette so will have reviews and swatches of those coming up! Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Face Palette

I have had my eye on this for what seems like forever! It gets raves reviews, seems to be perfect for fair skin, it’s cool toned and it’s all matte! I will not be a happy bunny if this sells out before I get my hands on it! I never wanted to make a Sephora order for it because I was worried the powders would smash in transit so I’m glad the brand has finally made its way over here after months of rumours! I think it’s due for release on Debenhams online on the 13^th September and will make its way into stores in October!

Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette

See above! If you have read my blog for any length of time you might know that I like matte formulations especially when it comes to eyeshadows. For me they are just easier to wear on a day to day basis so I am all over this release like a bad rash!

Urban Decay All Nighter Liquid Foundation

A full coverage, matte, waterproof foundation from one of my favourite make up brands? Yes please! I will be hot footing it to my local Debenhams as soon as this comes in store to get matched and hope it lives up to the hype I have created in my head for it! It’s release in the UK on September 1^st!

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick

It goes without saying that Urban Decay’s huge lipstick overhaul has been one of the most exciting launches of the year! I can’t believe I haven’t actually bought one yet but there are so many I want I can’t decide! Every time I’m near a counter I swatch the life out of my hand and still can’t decide what I want! Backtalk, Wrong Number and Morning After are top of my list at the minute and I actually went to order Backtalk from Feel Unique a few weeks ago when they had 10% off but it was out of stock!

Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics

Naked Basics 2 is my favourite Urban Decay palette and contains the only shade I have ever hit pan on – Frisk – so it only seems right that I add this to my wishlist! I am loving the shade range and I know it’s another matte palette but man I really want it! Maybe one for the Christmas list! It launches in September in the US so I’m assuming the UK should be around the same time! 

Huda Beauty Lip Contour in Bombshell

I am currently loving lip pencils so after seeing a lot of hype around these they are next on my list to try! Bombshell looks like the perfect pinky nude which is a shade I wear very often and if I’m going to pay £16 for it I want it in a shade that will be in constant rotation!

Special mention also has to go to the new Too Faced/Kat Von D magnetic palette, I love the concept of this but a lot of the shades don’t appeal to me and there aren’t enough mattes for me to justify it but I think it’s an amazing idea! I’m very worried for my bank balance over the next few months! Expect to see these in a wish list purchases post soon!

Wishlist Purchases #2

After last week’s third wishlist post I thought I would do a little update on the things I’ve bought from the first two I did! You can find those posts here and here!

MAC lipstick

I finally bought a MAC lipstick just before Christmas in the shade Plumful and I really like it. This is a lustre formulation and I apply it straight from the bullet then rub it into my lips so it stains them more. I don’t find that I need to use a lip liner with this as bleeding is not an issue and it’s nicely hydrating and long lasting! I don’t think I’ll ever have as big a collection of MAC as some people because I feel like I’m always expecting more from them then left a little disappointed when it doesn’t live up the hype I’ve created for myself! I would like to try more lipsticks though and though I’m not a fan of matte lipsticks as my lips are so dry I have been eyeing up Mehr, thoughts?

MAC Studio Fix Powder

For me this was a huge waste of money! I honestly don’t know how to use it, I bought it as more of a setting powder to add a little more coverage and got the shade NW20 which is what I got matched to in the Studio Fix Fluid years ago. This just makes my makeup look patchy, cakey and does not stop shine at all. I honestly think I’ve only tried it about twice so this is a hugely biased review but if anyone has any tips on how to get the best out of this powder please let me know!

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Palette

My mum very kindly bought me this a few months back and it is quite possibly the cutest, girliest piece of makeup I own! I feel like I do abandon a lot of my eyeshadow palettes for my Makeup Geek collection especially when it comes to the shimmer shades so I haven’t got as much use out of this as I should have! I love using the mattes in the palette for a really subtle daytime look and Bordeaux is one of my favourite shades, I’m loving burgundy shades in my crease at the minute! Too Faced has one of my favourite eyeshadow formulations but I would say that I maybe prefer the shade range in my Natural Eyes palette as I do use every shade in that palette whereas some shades in this one obviously get no love from me (pinks I’m looking at you!)

Too Faced Love Flush Blushes

I got three of these in a mini set at Christmas and I am obsessed with them! Love Hangover and Justify my Love are definitely my favourites and although the minis I have are absolutely tiny they fit my blush brush perfectly and I can’t see myself hitting pan anytime soon! They are just the right amount of pigmentation and I find them really long-lasting on my combination skin! I still really want the Love Flush palette but I think it’s gone forever L

Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk

I got this a few weeks ago along with the CT Instant Look in a Palette (let me know if you want a post about that too!) and I have to say I am really liking it! £16 is way more than what I would usually pay for a lipliner but it’s such a gorgeous natural colour just a touch darker than my lip shade that matches about 70% of my lipsticks and helps them last longer! It’s soft, I don’t have to pull on my lips to get the colour moving and although it was expensive I know I will get so much use out of it! I was under the impression it was a dupe for Rimmel’s Eastend Snob but as you can see in the swatch Eastend Snob on the left is a lot pinker than Pillow Talk!

Makeup Geek eyeshadow pan in Latte

I checked BeautyBay daily for months for this as I was forever out of stock only to finally get my hands on it and be a little disappointed! If you read my blog you will know I am a fan of cool toned brown eyeshadows. Although I knew this was warmer than my usual shades it’s just a little too much on the warm side for me to love! However, like all Makeup Geek eyeshadows its super pigmented and easily blendable and if you like warm tones you are in for a treat! It’s been a bit abandoned by me and I’ve changed around my small Z palette a little since this post on my neutral palette of dreams (see swatches here too!) but I think I will get more use out of it this summer when I am a bit more tan and it doesn’t look so stark on my pale skin!

Good morning everyone! I have a wishlist post today and would love to hear your experience with any of the products I've picked out, good or bad!

Pixi Glow Mud Cleanser

This seems to be forever out of stock but Jasmine and Sal have both spoken highly of it and I love my Pixi Glow Tonic so I want to try this! It contains 5% glycolic acid so there is a chemical exfoliating element to this which I love and I love mud masks so this is right up my street if it ever comes back in stock!

Becca Blushed Radience Kit

I've had my eye on this for a while then it went out of stock but its back now! It has the infamous Backlight Priming Filter as well as a mini Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed in Opal, Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlight Wand in Opal and mineral blush in the shade Flowerchild and seems like a perfect way to try the brand that gets so much hype even though I am a highlighter wuss! I really hope Cult Beauty has another GWP soon so I can fill my basket and pretend I am getting a fantastic deal haha!

Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Palette in Light/Medium

In case you hadn’t guessed, I am a complete sucker for try me sets/do everything palettes!

I am not actually the biggest fan of Stila (I've given away a lot of their Lip Glazes and never reach for my In the Light palette) but something about this is calling to me and I think the shades they have included are beautiful!

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Multi Glow Palette

Ah another face palette! I've never tried anything from the Bronze Goddess Summer collections though it seems everyone loves them but this palette might be the prettiest thing I have ever seen! After doing a little research it seems the shades are not the most pigmented which isn’t a problem for me (it’s easier to build up than take away after all!) but it’s not in the gelee formula I thought it might be so this may be staying on the wishlist!

Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint Foundation SPF 30

Another product with a lot of hype! I am always pleasantly surprised when I see before and afters of people wearing this as I wasn’t expecting it to offer much coverage! The word matte in the title is also very important to me as a super oily skinned girl (with a touch of dehydration for good measure) I want foundations to last all day without major shine peaking through!

Beauty Blender Liner.Designer

Eyeliner flick are the bane of my life. I can’t do them and other people can’t do them on me because of my ridiculously hooded eyes and miniature lid space. Could this be the gimmicky product to save the day and let me have the baby flicks I’ve always wanted? I love Beauty Blender and though I do occasionally use the microporous/surgical tape trick, I find that it irritates my eyes or I take the tackiness off so much it doesn't stick for as long as I need it to!

Have you tried any of these products? Let me know what you thought of them or tell me what’s on your wishlist! Apologies for the ugly red line around the collage too not sure what happened! Can anyone give me a good (free) programme for making collages, I currently use Polyvore but the picture is never as clear as I want it to be!

A little palette heavy wishlist today along with a few extras I've been lusting over!

Charlotte Tilbury Kiss Chase lipstick and lip cheat in Pillow Talk

I’m probably in the small minority that don’t see what all the fuss is about with the CT makeup range. Sure the products and packaging look pretty but it’s so expensive! I just don’t know if I could part with my money for it! (I can easily part with my money for other things though so I’m not sure why I feel this way!) Anyway, one thing on my radar is the lip cheat in Pillow Talk which has been around for ages and although I have the much raved about dupe, Rimmel East End Snob, which I love, I can’t help but wonder about this! Another newer addition to her range I like the look of is the lipstick in the shade Kiss Chase. I have seen this popping up everywhere recently and each time I see it I want it a little more!

Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Palette and Tarte Tartelette 2 In Bloom Palette

I've recently got a few Tarte products and I love the quality so these two palettes are calling my name! I can’t pick between them so thought I would stick both in this post! I love matte eye shadows and wear them far more than glitter/shimmer shades so the matte palette is looking like a strong contender, however the newer In Bloom palette looks gorgeous too!

Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe

I got a few of the Love Flush shades in a set of minis at Christmas and I LOVE them! The shades are amazing and the lasting power and pigmentation is brilliant! Blush is one of my biggest weaknesses and I would love to complete the set with this palette! Anyone know when it’s coming to the UK?

  

Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eye Shadow Palette

Another Too Faced product but they are one of my favourite brands! I don’t own any of their Chocolate Bar palettes and would be happy with any of them but this newest one has such a lovely selection of shades! And it smells of chocolate, what’s not to like!

Makeup Geek eyeshadow pan in Latte

This tiny little pan has become the bane of my life as it is forever out of stock on BeautyBay.com! I’ve been waiting for weeks for them to restock and told myself I wasn’t making another order until they had it back but I caved on Friday night and got a few more shades! I know I already probably have a hundred shades like this but I still want it and have saved one slot in my small Z palette of neutral dreams for its matte medium brown goodness! Soap and Glory Christmas Gift 2015 Wishlist

Too early?  I don’t know about you guys but the Boots Christmas book signals the start of the Christmas countdown for me and I love having a nosy through the gifts and picking out my favourites! Well, the Boots book isn’t actually out yet but after having a snoop on Soap and Glory’s website earlier to check out their new foundation (excited about this too FYI) I saw they had their Christmas gifts up! Now I am no stranger to Soap and Glory as you will have seen by various empties posts featuring their product’s and a few raves on their makeup here and here but I genuinely got a little too overexcited when I saw what they have planned for their Christmas gifts and decided to do a post!

I've picked out my favourite seven from the new releases so from top left clockwise we have the gorgeous Well I’ll be Glammed makeup set filled with cult favourite Solar Powder, Archery tint and pencil and Supercat eyeliner to name a few. Next up is a beautiful eye shadow palette that looks to have slightly different shades than last years (yet I need it too), The Perfect Ten. Heading to body care now, theres Soaper Star filled with body wash, moisturiser and more! Then there’s Winter Wonderhand, a set of three of S + G’s hand creams which I am obsessed with having in my handbag! Next up is The Wheel Deal filled with a full size body polish and 4 mini moisturisers! We then have Soaprise, a cracker set filled with minis of the range of body washes of which my favourites are Clean on Me and Clean Girls! Last but not least back to makeup for Time to Pink, another gorgeous set with a nail polish and Original Pink rollerball perfume too!

So those are my top picks and what I’ll be putting on my list this Christmas! Have you seen anything you like? Is anyone as obsessed with Soap and Glory as I sadly am?

Wishlist Purchases #1 ft. Anastasia Contour Kit, Urban Decay Setting Spray and Clinique Pop Lip Colour

Good afternoon everyone! I have a little update today on some recent purchases I’ve made relating to the wishlist I posted a few months ago! The wishlist is here and you can see what I’ve picked up from it!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Light to Medium Contour Kit

I was lusting after this for the longest time and I kicked myself when I didn’t buy it with a 15% discount code Cult Beauty had! However about a week later I got another 15% off code and so I had to make it mine! To be completely honest though I haven’t used this as much as I thought I would and when I do I seem to stick to the two same shades!

The shades Java and Havana (bottom left and right) look a lot more red toned to me in person than they are coming up on camera and I’m a bit scared of them to be honest, I do love Fawn though but I don’t think it’s any better than my usual contour colour of choice – Taupe by NYX!

The other shade I've been using is Banana as a setting powder for under my eyes but I’ve been a bit disappointed too. I don’t find it sets my powder particularly well and I don’t think it’s overly brightening either! I still prefer to use the mini powder in my Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer for setting under my eyes! I also used the highlight shade Sand a few weeks ago at a wedding and was shocked by how chunky and glittery it looked after a few hours wear so I've steered away from it since!

Overall, I’m a little disappointed with this product and even more disappointed in myself for giving into the hype (jokes, it was for the blog obvs)! If you have any tips for how I can use this better or videos that show people using all the shades then link me up please! I think my disappointment is due to my crappy makeup skills more so than the product itself as you can see from the swatches it is lovely and pigmented! I definitely don’t think this palette is a must have though!

Urban Decay De-Slick Make Up Setting Spray

I actually bought this as part of the Selfridges Summer Beauty Box as there were a few other things in it that I wanted too! I was so excited to try this as I had read a lot of reviews saying how it helped makeup stay in place and keep oil at bay. However, I am so disappointed with this! I use this at the very end of my makeup routine and do the “T” and “X” motion with the spray but round lunchtime my face looks oily as usual, especially at the sides of my nose.

This feels nice and refreshing and it’s not making my makeup any worse by spraying over it but I’m just not impressed! If anyone has any tips on how to make it work better please let me know! I’m thinking maybe spraying then patting into my skin with my fingers might help? I've also heard that the All-Nighter is better so maybe I should try it next time?

 Clinique Pop Lip Colour Primer in Melon Pop

This is my most recent purchase made all the sweeter by the fact I bought it with my Boots points! I swatched a few other colours while I was at the stand like Beige Pop and Colour Pop but as I suspected, Melon Pop just stood out for me! This lipstick is really moisturising and gives me a lovely light coral tint to my lips. I don’t find it lasts any longer on me even though it’s meant to have a primer in it but it’s easy to touch up on the go!

To be completely honest I don’t think I would fork out £16 for another one though! My favourite lipstick Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Lover’s Coral gives me a similar colour and is half the price!

So there we go, a slightly disappointing high-ish end haul! I feel a bit bad being so down on the Anastasia Palette in particular but I’m not getting as much use out of the shades as I thought I would have! Do you own any of these products? What do you think?
